Summary
The lesson is a brief introduction to the various types of printing used in art. Activity A gives the children the opportunity to design and make their own printing block and Activity B follows on by using the block to create a work of art.

Excerpt
Most printing involves using some sort of flat surface which is prepared by adding an image using a number of different methods such as cutting, pasting, or etching. The printing surface can be made of almost any material. Once it is complete, ink or paint is applied to the prepared surface and then pressed onto the paper or any other material on which you want to print.
