This lesson introduces students to the Bill of Rights.
• To be able to list some the amendments listed in the Bill of Rights.
• To be able to explain each amendment in the Bill of Rights.
The Bill of Rights originally consisted of the first ten amendments to the Constitution. There were twelve amendments proposed but two of them were not ratified. The Bill of Rights took effect on December 15, 1791. It is important to have an understanding of the amendments contained in the Bill of Rights.
