Excerpt
Camels have bodies that are incredibly adapted to survive in desert climates. Camels are able to survive for long periods of time without food or water. Their ability to survive without food and water comes from the fact that their bodies store fat in their humps and water in their stomach lining. When food and water are not available, camels then use these fat stores and water stores to survive until they are able to get more food and water.
