Future Tense

Summary
This lesson briefly reviews the parts of speech the children have already learned and introduces the simple future tense.

Objectives
• The children will understand that verbs change form depending on when the action takes place.

• The children will be able to demonstrate their understanding of tense by using going to and will to change the present or past tense of verbs into the future tense.

Do you remember the different parts of speech? The main ones are nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs. Verbs are action or doing words. Unlike other parts of speech, verbs change their form depending upon when the action takes place. We call this the tense of the verb.
