Adverbs are words that are used to describe verbs, adjectives, and other adverbs. We say that an adverb modifies or describes these other parts of speech.
Adverbs are not verbs. They help answer three questions about the words they describe.
1. How?
2. When?
3. Where?
Adverbs can show up anywhere in a sentence. You can even have adverbs that answer different questions about the same verb in one sentence. Many adverbs end in ly which makes them easy to find.
