Excerpt
Memory and observation are related in that they are required for the process of acquiring, storing, and retrieving information. Human beings have several ways of acquiring information about the world around them, and each way can provide detailed, significant data. Observation begins the process and a person must train himself to become more efficient at noticing the world around him.
Humans acquire data through their senses. This means through their hearing, vision, taste, touch, and smelling. Learning to increase one?s ability using each sense will increase a person?s observation skills. Quickly taking note of what you sense can build a more accurate picture of a scene or object and can aid in memorization.
