Parasitology is a branch of science that is related to biology. Parasitology studies parasites and their hosts. A parasite is a special organism that forms a type of relationship with a host organism. This relationship allows the parasite to use the host for survival. Parasites are a very common form of life and parasitology is divided into various fields which study different types of parasites. For example, medical parasitology is the branch which studies the parasites that affect humans.
