Words that end in -ch, x, s, or s-like sounds generally require an -es to form the plural. For example, the plural of witch is witches. The plural of fox is foxes. The plural of kiss is kisses. More than one gas would be gases.
In addition, words that end in a consonant and a y may need to have the y changed to an i, and you will have to add es. For example, the plural of baby would be babies.
