Excerpt
It was a summer evening and Taylor was returning home from horseback riding with some friends. There was a quick path home cutting through the woods so she urged her mare into a trot. Dinner was surely waiting and she didn?t want to be late.

She trotted off the road and along a fence to where there was a gate. The edge of the shadows played tricks on her eyes and her mare spooked at the sudden darkness.

?Come on Daisy!? she urged. It was then she heard a stick break somewhere ahead and Daisy snorted warily.
