Seed Dispersal By Animals
About the Seed Dispersal By Animals Lesson
This lesson discusses seed dispersal by animal agents. Three different methods are covered: adherence, ingestion and caching.
• to demonstrate the need for seed dispersal;
• to assess the children?s ability to describe the three different methods of seed dispersal by animals.
When young animals grow up they move away from their parents and make their own homes. But plants can?t move, so they need another way to spread their seeds, otherwise they would all grow on top of each other.
