Most plants clothe their seeds with some form of covering. The shell of a peanut is the covering for the peanut inside. The peanut inside is the actual seed. The fruit in oranges covers the seeds found inside oranges. Tomatoes and cherries also have seeds. Plants with seeds that are covered are called angiosperms, which means ?covered seeds? in Greek. These plants all have something in common- they all have flowers.
